IPS Logistics Group will re-brand its freight forwarding and customs division to IPS Global as from January 2009.

This follows completion of the first year of operation of Kilby Customs & Freight after it was acquired by IPS in September 2007.    The acquisition was part of the group\\\'s strategy to broaden its range of logistics services from its traditional warehousing base, and followed earlier investments in road and rail transport operations.

The 2007 acquisition arrangements included Bruce Kilby\\\'s provision of fultime services for twelve months before transitioning to his current part-time support role, as part of his longer-term plans.

Dale Sherwood has been appointed to lead the IPS Global business, and other acquisitions are being examined by the group to complement its existing freight business.

The re-branding of the freight and customs divsion will not apply to the other divisions and operations of the group and associated companies.

CEO John Cooper said: "Now that our international freight division has expanded beyond the Kilby business acquired just over a year ago, it is appropriate to brand all our freight services under the IPS Global banner.  This will also enable other complementary acquisitions to be seamlessly integrated into the expanding freight services business."
